Dr. Addison Crosswell Twins Images Stereo 3-D Installation Credits

Stereoscope Stereo/3-D Imagrey

Dr. Addison used a special camera to photograph Regina Crosswell that produces a three- dimensional image, or stereo photograph. Dr. Addison wrote in his diary that he hoped the use of stereo photography would help disprove the phenomenon of the apparition. Instead, these images seem to confirm the existence of Lydia Crosswell’s spirit.

Visitors to the installation were able to view these images in their full depth by use of several scopes. A selection of 14 images were also available for purchase in the form of a two-reel View-Master set.

The images are also archived on this website and may be viewed by use of stereo glasses or by "free-viewing" - a technique whereby the viewer stares through the pair of images until they merge into one single 3-D image.
