web design

After grad school I began designing wesites, both for myself and as a freelance job. My first job was for the Indiana University athletic department, where I designed and implemented a site that covered all 19 varsity sports, including rosters, schedules, and scores. While at IU Athletics, I also desinged the official website for the 1997 NCAA Track Championships, the first site of its kind to post real-time results. After moving to Chicago I created a website for Future/Now Films and their documentary film, MC5 * A True Testimonial. I have also designed a number of sites for my various art projects.

My design style is based on achieving a balance of dynamic visual appeal, easy coherent navigation, and fast load times. I use simple browser-friendly colors, rollover images, some animation, and tables/frames when appropriate.

While some of my earlier sites no longer exist, or have been significantly altered, these sites remain:

http://www.futurenowfilms.com - The official website of MC5 * A True Testimonial.

http://www.hive25.com/posterchildren - A fan's website dedicated to one of my favorite bands, Poster Children.

http://www.nextyear.org - A website showcasing a photo-documentary project I did about the people that comprise the Wrigley Field experience.
